ZIPRC, ZIM Forge Stronger Partnership for Professional Growth

The Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC) and the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) have taken bold steps to strengthen collaboration and transform professional development for practitioners in both fields.

In a high-level engagement led by ZIPRC president Irene Chipili and ZIM President, Mwewa Besa, the two institutions agreed on a series of initiatives designed to elevate professional standards, enhance operational efficiency, and foster stronger ties between PR and marketing professionals.

Among the key areas of collaboration are the mutual recognition of members from both institutions, joint enforcement of professional standards, and co-hosting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes.

This collaboration means practitioners will be able to accumulate CPD points for the renewal of their practising licenses regardless of their institutional affiliation, making the process more efficient and inclusive.

To formalise the partnership, ZIPRC and ZIM are currently drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which is expected to be finalised by the end of October 2025.

The MoU will clearly outline the terms of collaboration and ensure that both institutions derive maximum benefit from this strategic alliance.

This partnership represents a historic milestone for the two institutions and promises a future of enhanced collaboration, professional growth, and mutual support, ultimately advancing the professions of public relations and marketing in Zambia.
