About us

Background

The Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC), formerly called Zambia Public Relations Association (ZAPRA) is a professional body representing the interests of Public Relations and Communication practitioners, engaged in related work in Zambia. Following earlier efforts that were made by practitioners in the last two decades, the profession begun to formalise and culminated into the formation of an association in 2008 (ZAPRA).

OBJECTIVES

ZIPRC Objectives

  • To promote general understanding of public relations and communications expertise and the value of their practice as well as to establish and maintain professional status and dignity for public relations and communications practice amongst members of ZIPRC, employers and the public.
  • To encourage the observance of the highest standards of professional conduct by registered members of ZIPRC, through adherence to the ZIPRC Code of Ethics and professional standards for the practice of public relations and all forms of communication management.
  • To protect the interests of all concerned in the event of any complaint of malpractice or non-adherence to the ZIPRC code of ethics and professional standards brought against a registered member, through the application of a set of disciplinary procedures.
